Soi Cowboy is regarded by many as the best 'naughty' night spot in Bangkok, and I would have to agree with this sentiment. There are several reasons why I personally prefer it to Nana Plaza and especially Patpong. Sure, you may be able to get cheaper drinks in the aforementioned Patpong but surely that should not be the main determinant when you decide to embark on a night of fun in Bangkok's go go bars. Personally I believe that the quality of the venues on Soi Cowboy are higher than those found in Nana Plaza and Patpong. Most importantly I believe there are more beautiful girls to be found here. Of course this is not to say that you will not find any stunners in the other red light districts. There are beautiful girls to be found in each of these areas and the standard tends to fluctuate regularly (with some venues being more apt at keeping the quality at a high level). If you are visiting the land of smiles or experiencing the naughty nightlife of Bangkok for the first time, I would definitely recommend you start at Soi Cowboy but be sure to give the alternative areas a 'go' too!
